Compliance with accessibility requirements:
Our website is partially accessible, and the career section is largely accessible, to ensure that our offerings are available to all persons.
The essential functions are designed to be perceivable, operable, and understandable for all users.
This includes user-friendly navigation through the website, structured presentation of company and product information, targeted search for content, display of relevant mandatory information, protected access to partner areas such as the NORDWEST Information System (NIS), the option to apply online in the career section, and the ability to contact us using the forms and telephone numbers provided.
We offer various modes of operation to ensure that our products and services can also be used by users with physical, sensory, or cognitive impairments. These include:
- Auditory alternatives: Our functions do not require vision and offer extended audio capabilities for users with visual impairments (so-called screen reader capability).
- Manual interaction options: Our digital content can be used without fine motor control and without significant hand muscle strength (keyboard operability).
- Privacy when using accessibility features: All accessibility features used ensure the privacy of our users.
- Through regular reviews and adjustments, we ensure that our digital offerings comply with legal requirements and are continuously improved to ensure high accessibility and security for all users.
Content that is not or not fully accessible
- The following content and areas are currently not or not fully accessible:
- Some of the videos embedded on our website – in particular those published before June 28, 2025 – do not currently have subtitles. However, the YouTube player offers an automatic function for generating and displaying subtitles. We are continuously working to provide future video content with appropriate subtitles to further improve accessibility.
- Some embedded third-party content (e.g., job vacancies, Google - virtual 360° tour) may not be or may not be fully accessible. We have no influence on the accessibility of third-party providers.
- Individual PDF documents may not be fully accessible.
- Under certain circumstances, certain browser/assistive technology combinations may result in operational restrictions.
- The NORDWEST Handel AG website is currently not fully accessible in all areas. Measures to improve accessibility have already been implemented in parts of the career section – in particular on the pages /career, /career/starting-at-nordwest/, /career/working-at-nordwest/ and /career/inside-nordwest/. Barriers may still exist in other areas of the website that could make it difficult for people with disabilities to use.
However, we are working with our partners to gradually remove any remaining barriers.
