NORDWEST successfully expands international central payment

International business relationships open up new market opportunities, but also place greater demands on payment processing, planning certainty and administrative processes. Through international central payment, NORDWEST and the partners involved provide a robust infrastructure that simplifies cross-border business relationships while ensuring security and transparency.

The model has been operating successfully in the Building Services division since January 2025. Working with its international partners Van Marcke and Richardson, NORDWEST has developed robust structures that are now established in the market. These positive developments are also reflected in the business figures: as of August 2026, the volume processed through international central payment in the Building Services division was up more than 25 per cent year on year. At the same time, the network has been steadily expanded through additional international supplier partnerships.

Building on the experience gained and the processes established, NORDWEST began extending the concept to the Construction-Trades-Industry division in 2026. The response has been consistently positive: numerous customers signed up for the model within the first few weeks. More than 40 international suppliers have now signed the relevant agreements, and further partnerships are being put in place. Initial sales transactions have been processed successfully since September. This brings tangible benefits for specialist trade partners and suppliers: standardised and efficient processes, greater planning certainty and secure financial settlement of international transactions. At the same time, NORDWEST is reinforcing its role as a strong partner within the network.

As it is extended to additional countries, partners and product categories, international central payment is steadily developing into a platform for financial transactions and business processes that can be used throughout Europe, laying the foundations for sustainable growth across the continent.
